Maharaja Agrasen University was established in 2013 with the vision to deliver value-based education to produce professional leaders. IIC-MAIT (MAU) has been selected as the only mentor institution in Himachal Pradesh in 2021 for Central University of Himachal Pradesh, UIET-HPU Shimla, DCRUST Murthal, MMU Mullana (Ambala); and Global Institute of Technology Jaipur. IIC-MAIT (MAU) was again selected as a mentor in 2023 for UIET-HPU Shimla, Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University Ferozpur, Lyalpur Khalsa Institute of Technology Jalandhar, Gulzar Group of Institutions Ludhiana and Global Institute of Technology Jaipur. The university has also been recognized amongst the top five institutions in India by the Ministry of Education at NEP-IIC event on July 29, 2023 held at Bharat Mandapam.
